What is Thermage?
Thermage is a radiofrequency (RF) skin tightening treatment. A handpiece delivers controlled heat into the dermis and deeper tissue while cooling protects the skin surface. The heat causes existing collagen fibres to contract, which can give some immediate firmness, and starts a healing response that produces new collagen over the following months.
Thermage FLX, the current platform, includes treatment tips for the face and body as well as a dedicated eye tip, so it can be used on the cheeks, jawline, forehead, eyelids and neck. It is a tightening treatment rather than a deep lift, so it is often compared or combined with ultrasound lifting such as Ultherapy.
