What is migraine Botox?
Botulinum toxin is approved in many countries as a preventive treatment for chronic migraine, usually defined as headaches on 15 or more days a month, with at least eight of those having migraine features. It is not a painkiller for an attack that is already happening. Instead, it is thought to reduce the release of pain-signalling chemicals from nerve endings, which can make attacks less frequent or less intense over time.
