What is underarm Botox?
Axillary hyperhidrosis is excessive sweating of the armpits beyond what is needed for cooling. It can soak through clothes within minutes, limit what you wear and make meetings, travel or hot weather stressful. Strong antiperspirants help some people, but not everyone.
Underarm Botox uses small injections of botulinum toxin just under the skin across the sweating area. The toxin blocks acetylcholine, the messenger that switches on sweat glands, so the armpits stay much drier. Many people also notice less odour because there is less sweat for bacteria to break down.
